Treatment of large cavities C3 (2) Infected root canal Treatment of bacterially infected tooth roots
If the caries that was created is left unattended, the erosion of the caries will progress steadily, eventually reaching the pulp (nerves and blood vessels in the tooth), and the pulp will die.
Bacteria multiply in the dead pulp, causing inflammation, and finally nerves and blood vessels rot, and the resulting pus overflows into the bone outside the roots of the teeth and accumulates.
In addition, even if the pulp has been treated once, if the medicine packed in the root canal becomes ineffective or the number of bacteria that cannot be removed increases, inflammation will occur again and pus will accumulate. You may.
Procedure for infected root canal treatment (treatment to take dental nerves and previously packed medicine)

1)Check the condition of the back of the root with an X-ray.
Even if you can see the cavities on the surface with your eyes, you cannot see the inner part of the root of the tooth, so check the condition of the inside of the root of the tooth and the part behind it with an X-ray photograph. ..
If pus overflows from the tip of the root of the tooth and spreads into the bone, it can be confirmed as a black shadow.

2)Remove the cavities and the padding.
We will remove the cavities, the metal crown / metal base covered by the previous treatment, the plastic filling, etc. with a treatment instrument.
And make the roots of the teeth directly visible.
(Treatment of cavities as preparation)

3)Remove the pulp and previously packed medicine.
Carefully remove the rotten pulp in the root canal of the tooth, or the medicine that was packed during the treatment of the previous pulp, using a thin treatment tool (called a reamer).

4)Fill the root canal with medicine.
The pus outside the tip of the root of the tooth (inside the bone) is discharged to the outside through the root canal.
And it is thoroughly disinfected to suppress inflammation and pus.

5)Root canal patch
The inside of the tooth root tube is repeatedly washed with a liquid disinfectant, and then a liquid or jelly-like disinfectant / sterilizer is added.

6)Fill the root canal with medicine.
After confirming that the inflammation and pus in the bone at the tip of the tooth have disappeared, thoroughly disinfect the inside of the root canal, and then firmly make sure that there is no gap to the tip of the root, made of natural rubber. Fill with the medicine.
(Root canal filling)
If the condition is not good, the treatment of applying the medicine to the root canal is repeated until the symptoms disappear, and the number of times may increase.
