11) Treatment of caries
There are many bacteria in the mouth.
It is said that mutans bacteria in it are the cause of tooth decay.
This caries bacterium grows by nourishing the sugar in the food and makes a sticky thing on the surface of the tooth.
Caries bacteria and other bacteria settle in the sticky layer and increase steadily.
This is called plaque.
Caries bacteria in dental plaque make acid from sugar in food and slowly begin to dissolve the enamel on the surface of the teeth.
And as it progressed, it became a large visible hole and became a tooth decay.
Caries never heals naturally. If you leave it alone, it will only get worse, so treat it early.

C1 (Caries 1st degree)
Mild tooth decay with the enamel layer on the surface of the tooth melted. There is no pain at all, or even if there is, do not feel much, but the surface of the teeth is cloudy white or colored brown and rough. There are no visible holes yet.
→ Treatment of C1 |
C2 (Caries 2nd degree)
It is a moderate caries with a hole in it that has been destroyed to the dentin layer inside the tooth.
Eating and drinking cold foods can cause tooth stains and some pain.
→ Treatment for C2 |
C3 (Caries 3rd degree)
It is a severe tooth decay that the destruction of the tooth penetrates the entire layer of dentin, has a large hole, and reaches the pulp (where nerves and blood vessels are). It often hurts all the time, and when the pulp becomes inflamed, it causes severe pain.
→ Treatment for C3 (pain, etc.)
→ 〃 (swelling pain, etc.)
→ 〃 Post-treatment (crown, etc.)

C4 (4th degree of caries)
The tooth has collapsed, the visible part of the tooth has been chipped off, and it is almost only the root. The pain may have disappeared because the nerves have been damaged. When the pulp rots and the roots become inflamed, it hurts and swells.
→ Treatment for C4
→ Treatment after tooth extraction: Bridge
→ 〃: Denture
